Second draft

December 25

Eggetrt

In my family, there is a special member, my 7-year-old brother Eggetrt, whose name comes from his favourite food—eggs. He often does something funny and annoying, but he is like an angel to us and gets all our favor. Why? If you want to know the reasons, please follow me.

Eggetrt is sensitive to people’s bad mood and loves to care for people in his special way. If he notices that you are in the bad temper, he will give you a hug and kiss your face to make you laugh. To cheer you up, he is even willing to spare his favourite tea eggs to you, for he thinks eating tea eggs is the happiest thing in the world. What a sweet angel!

No one is perfect and the sweet angel also has evil sides. Eggetrt is curious about everything and has experimenting spirit. He will put it into practice at once if he thinks of a so-called good idea, which often causes some damage in our house. He once plucked Father’s parrot to see whether it can still fly without feathers. When our home was full of motley feathers, to avoid punishment, Eggetrt came to our parents’ bedroom to admit his mistakes voluntarily. Just as Father wanted to forgive him due to his good attitude, suddenly the pillow was found to have a long gash and the sponge was revealed. It turned out that Eggetrt had cut the pillow with a knife for his curiosity on what the pillow hid. Eventually, the punishment was unavoidable.

It is not so bad a thing about Eggetrt’s curiosity and experimenting spirit, but it can be bad if he is an adventurous boy as well. Eggetrt has courage to do anything dangerous actually. I remembered that last winter Mother locked (转 载于:wWw.SmHaIDA.cOM 海达 范文 网:教弟弟学英语作文)him in the house alone to attend his parent-teacher meeting in his kindergarten. Eggetrt felt bored and suddenly missed Mother very much, so he decided to go to the kindergarten to look for Mother. Although we lived on the second floor, Eggetrt thought it was not so high that he could jump from the balcony to the garden downstairs,

so he could leave home to find Mother. Then ignoring the traffic besides the garden, he jumped as he thought, leaving two deep pits in the garden. When Mother saw him in the kindergarten, she was dumbfounded. After Eggetrt proudly told her how he left home, Mother trembled, picked him up and rushed to the hospital nearby. Fortunately, Eggetrt did not get any hurt! When he got back home, he still insisted that he could show the jump again, but from then on, Mother no longer dared to lock him in the house alone.

Eggetrt, the apple of our eyes, makes our family enjoy meaningful and intimate time together and fills our house with cheerful and interesting conversation and laughter. His sweet and naughty behaviors are the inseparable part of our family’s happy life and will become our most vivid memories.

My younger Brother

My younger Brother

i remember my brother as a sweet baby, bringing much fun and delight to the family with his pleasant gabbles of nonsense. he was a very likable chubby little thing, always on his feet climbing up and down, chasing after insects, birds, and me.

i do not recall him ever having any white clothes since he started school. he was extremely untidy, he used to come home with a face of smudges, an inkspattered shirt, a pair of dirt-bedraggled pants.

he did not care much for ready-made toys, and was very anxious to break them into bits, to satisfy his childish curiosity. but he treasured his sell-made toys, such as the slingshots which he used to break the glasses on the windows, and had receivedpunishments time and time again.

My cousin is only five years old. She comes to my house every weekend. We like her very much. Though she is very young she has ideas of her own. She says she wants to invite a fairy to help my mother to clean the kitchen. She prefers to be a super model. So she keeps on learning English and practising walking every day. Last week her mother told her to sleep in my bed. Half an hour later, she didn't fall asleep. Her mother was very angry. Then I went into the room, and asked whether she had slept. She closed her eyes tightly and said "Yes".

She's such a naughty and clever girl.
