哲学论文：技术使用者：技术哲学应该关注的一个对象[1]

摘 要: 技术存在的方式在于被使用,只有在使用这一人类实践活动中,才能彰显技术的意义、释放技 术的功能并延续技术的生命。技术使用的主体-使用者-无疑是技术与社会关系网中 的重要网结,但长期以来,人们主要是用生产话语来解析使用,过度弘扬了生产者和消费者的 主体功能,从而造就了消费异化的图景。在技术已经奏响时代最强音、技术论已经聚焦于技 术扩散阶段的现代语境下,技术哲学有必要拓展自己的空间,把技术使用者纳入自己的研究 视野,有必要认真地解读技术使用活动。

　　Abstract: The existent mode of technology is to be used by human beings, and only in the p ractical activities of using can we highlight the meaning of technology, realizethe function of technology and continue the life of technology. Undoubtedly, th e users who are the subjects for the application of technologies are the basic n odes of the network in the relation between technology and society. However, theuse of technology was discussed mainly by productive discourse for long and therole of producer and consumer in the discussion was overestimated, thus alienat ing the consumption from its true meaning. Nowadays the technology has been emph asizing as the most important thing and the philosophy of technology has been fo cusing on the modern context in technological diffusion phase, the philosophy oftechnology has the necessity to extend its own space where the technology userscome into its visual field for interpreting the activities of using technologie s.

　　著名技术哲学家米切姆曾经把传统的人类活动划分为制造和使用两类,认为工程师注重制造 的一面,而社会科学家则注重使用的一面［1］。拉普则认为,技术的表现形态分为四 种:发明、设计、制造、使用［2］。可见,使用一词一直处于技术哲学的疆域之中,但 令人诧异的是,使用问题并没有成为技术哲学研究领域里的一个明确对象。长期以来,技术哲 学家们对使用的关注主要囿于技术使用社会后果的宏观话语体系,罕有对技术使用活动本身 以及技术使用的主体-技术使用者-所进行的哲学反思,“或者即使是有所考虑,也要 么是泛化为无主体的‘社会背景’(比如政治和经济推动力),要么被降阶为完全消极被动的 ‘受教化者’”［3］,但与此同时,经济学、社会学早已敞开对使用者的关注之门,在 有关使用者的心理需求、行为特征、社会影响等方面取得了一定的研究成果。鉴于此,本文 试图对技术使用者进行简单的梳理和介绍,以期唤起国内学者对技术使用问题研究的重视。
　　
　　一、 技术使用者的研究现状
　　
　　学术界对使用者的作用和意义进行最初的认识和阐述肇始于经济学领域,出于经济利益方面 的考虑,经济学理论对使用者予以了一定关注,认识到并不是企业生产什么,使用者就接受什 么,而是具有自己的选择权和能动性,各自有不同的需求、爱好和个性,并对使用者集体进行 了较为系统的关注,肯定了技术只有被使用者接受并融入到社会之中才能实际发挥作用,从而 确立了使用者集体在技术发展过程中的重要作用。
