math problem #2
massey's student council has decided to invite a hypnotist to the school. a couple years ago they sold 1000 tickets for a price of $4. a survey indicates that for every ticket price increases of 50 cents the number of tickers sold will decrease by 50. what ticket price will result in the greatest revenue of the school?(also find the maximum revenue)
for this type of question i'm not quite sure how to come up with a quadratic equation. can someone help to solve this question, and explain to me how u got it.

suppose y:the revenue
we get y=(1000-50x)(4+0.5x)
and now what rest is the calculating progress.
y=4000+300x-25x^2=-25(x^2-12x+36)+4900=-25(x-6)^2+4900
so,when we increase the price to 6*0.5+4=7 dollars for every ticket
we get the greatest revenue:4900dollars

这不就是一个简单的方程就出来了吗,你要真的旅居海外这只是个小学题
(1000-50x)(4+0.5x)最大4900dollars
