Culture is different between countries,so is life.
life in America is more active and efficient.People are enthusiastic and easy-going,frank and they are loyal to others.Living in high buildings,they pitch in the work to get high achievement.Some supermarkets open day and night,and sorts of services make life easier around their job.
in histroy of america white people looked down upon black people now,the equlement of black people has rised
knowing differences between western and eastern culture is very important in learning English.For example,Americans appreciate anyone doing them a favor to them even though small.Someone directs your way you should thank him.Before you get into someone’s room or office,knock at the door for an answer first.Without permission you can’t take anything or look through any letter,when you are in else’s house or office.When someone is reading something and you look from behind over his shoulder,it is considered very impolite.You go to your fiend’s for a visit or to join a party,you may bring a small gift,a bundle of flower or a bottle of wine.When you are asked whether you are hungry,if you do you can say “yes” directly.It is not appropriate to ask someone’s age,matrimony,financial condition and other private questions.American people think much of politeness,respect for self and others,and honesty.Chinese also have such virtues,but the manner is somewhat different.When someone gets a little help he may not say anything,though he has a feeling of gratitude.Nowadays Chinese parents are very much fond of their children,specially because of family generally only has one child,but they seldom say “I love you” to their child.When you speak in praise of your friend,you will hear “no,no” instead of ”thank you”.There really are a lot of culture differences we need to know,if not we have not mastered English.
