1．No（没有）是形容词,常位于名词前,用来否定这个名词.有时no否定名词时,可理解为这个名词的反义词,意思是“并非”.
（1）I have no ink．我没有墨水.不可说：I have not ink．
（2）There are no clouds in the sky．天上没有云.
（3）He is no fool．＝He is clever．他很精明.比较：He is not a fool．他不是傻子.

7．在“No＋动名词”的省略句中,表示“禁止,不准”的意思.这时,不能用“not any”代替“no”.
No smoking!禁止吸烟!
No spitting on the floor!不要随地吐痰!
二、Not的用法
1．Not（不）是副词,用于动词和助动词之后.
（1）That TV set is not here．那台电视机不在这里.
（2）I can not go out．我不能出去.
（3）I don’t think so．我不那样认为.
2．Not用于形容词、副词之前,表示委婉的说法.在汉语中,用单重否定句,即只用一个否定词来表示.与肯定句相比,语气弱些,但如果它同肯定句并用,用否定衬托肯定,那么作者要肯定的意思就会表现得十分鲜明.
（1）This movie isn’t bad．这部电影不错.
（2）The door was not a long time opening．不一会儿,门开了.
