1、as做连词：
1)“当……时候”,强调两个动作同时发生,用来引导时间状语从句.
例：hesatwatchingas
shegotready.(他一直坐着看她准备停当.)
2)“既然、由于”表示原因,用来引导原因状语从句.
例：asyouarebusy,i’
llgooutbymyself.(既然你很忙,我就单独外出吧.)
3)“尽管、虽然”,用来引导让步状语从句(常用于倒装句).
例：asheisasmallchild,hegoestoschoolalone.(虽然他还是个小孩,他独自上学.)
4)“正如、按照”,用来引导方式或比较状语从句.
例：wheninrome,doastheromansdo.(入乡随俗.)
2、as做介词：
1)“如同、像”例：heactedasanoffi-cial.(他的做派像名官员.)
2)“作为”
例：weregardhimasourmodel.(我们把他当做我们的模范.)
3、as做副词与……一样(as…as…前一个是副词)
