I think "rather" goes well with "unlikely" and "almost" goes well with "impossible" , so "It is almost impossible for him to get married with Britney" is better.

Of course, you could say " It is rather impossible." and that sounds naturall, I think.

When seaching with GOOGLE on the internet, "almost impossible" is likely hit more than "rather impossible".

quite impossible固然不错,但你能说rather impossible有错吗?问题在于:只在一两句话里,难以辨别,只有在语篇中,才能真正体会之间的区别(其实不存在谁对,谁错的问题).
