The twentieth century is a century of great changes occurring throughout the world turned upside down, achieved in this century science and technology, literary achievement than any previous era. However, the complexity of this century's political and economic changes that the war has become more frequent, rapid advances in science and technology to make war even more terrible, full of brilliant in this century, the unprecedented brutal war to enable people to enjoy the great spiritual and material life at the same time, experienced a time full of bloodshed and horror!

Generally, war is repugnant, but peace is welcome. While peace is the ultimate goal of all of our undertaking in this world, war has been inevitable in the course of human civilization. Does man have an innate taste for war? Or is it just an acquired scheme learned from human society? We only know that there hasn"t been any period in the history during which the world was really at peace. Human beings pursue peace and prosperity through the establishment of families, communities, and nations. Why should we let all these be destroyed by wars?
To reduce the possibility of war to the lowest extent, I have two suggestions. First of all, education should be consolidated to eliminate the brutality and beastliness in human nature. Knowledge derives from education and is a surer road to wisdom. Wisdom enables us to distinguish right from wrong. I also teaches us restraint and tolerance, two effective means of preventing wayward killing and destruction. Another cure is religion. Most religions in the world advocate philanthropism and forgiveness, which dissolve hatred and revenge. Consequently, education and religion working side by side can transform a barbarian into a civilized person. With wisdom and love, the human race as a whole will detest war and embrace peace.

It falls on the third Tuesday of September every year, aiming at celebrating the day that the global realize ceasefires and non-violence. Its symbol is a flying dove. It represents peace. This festival is the day for people from all walks of life. The international community including the United Nations has made unremitting efforts for the realization of regional stability and world peace over the years. War and peace has always been with human’s development. Althought in the modern world, peace and development have become two major themes, but there still have religious conflict or local wars, for instance, the Libya war. The war brought us hunger, death , poverty ,and make our social decay, So people should to avoid war and defend our peace.
For people war is a disaster, the development of the human beings need peace. If human beings want to have a better future they should try to avoid war. Only peace can make us have a better life , develop the economic and build our country, our human society can be progress.
There are many measures can be used to avoid the outbreak of the war. Like pay more attention to education to increase people's quality, try to solve the differences among Countries through international organizations such as the United Nations or by other peaceful means. Religion is also a good idea to help people away from violence and war, most religions in the world advocate philanthropy and forgiveness, which dissolve hatred and revenge.
Globalization is progressing with each passing day and we have already in the embrace of the new century, we should be confident that

The Murmuring of Comfort Women
In World War II, Japanese government and soldiers brought a lot of pains and sorrows to Asian. They killed thousands of people. In Nanjing, China, they killed more than 300,000 innocent Chinese people. After the cruel war, most of us only focus on the people they killed, but we ignore some poor women who had suffered shame and pains of their body. They are comfort women. They are the Japanese military sexual slaveries. When they are in their teens and twenties, they had to serve Japanese soldiers. Most of them had an operation to remove their wombs and they couldn’t have their own children for the whole life.
The Japanese military sexual slavery survivors live a hard life. Many of them have no families. They live alone and have no enough money to support themselves. Some of them live together. What they can do is waiting. Wait for the response of Japanese government. In Korea, no one knows the history of comfort women until the first self-identified Korean survivor Kim Hak Soon spoke about her experience. So do China. No one wants to refer to that shameful period of history. We should respect the survivors who had courage to stand out to speak for their rights. Because of them, we know the true cruel history in World War II.
When I see the film Murmuring, I was shocked. How could the comfort women suffer such pains at that time? Many of them were teenagers. They lived a hard life even didn’t have enough food to eat. What worse, many of them couldn’t return back to their hometown. I remember there are some Korean survivors who live in China. After the war, they wanted to return home, but no one could help them. They can only
stay far away from home and miss their hometown ever day. They make money by themselves. Japanese soldiers and the war hurt them, but they didn’t want to confess to what they did. Because there are few survivors are being alive, their voice is like murmuring. Few people care about them and help them. Many comfort women died during the war. Some of them died of disease, and some of them died from tortures. At that time, no one care for them. Japanese soldiers didn’t treat them as human beings. In nowadays, a lot of people show sympathy to them, but few people want to help them. When I saw they demonstrated outside the Japanese embassy, I felt sad.
In my opinion, not only the Japanese government should be responsible to the survivors, but also their own countries’ governments should do something useful to them. Now they need money to support them, but Japanese government doesn’t want to give them money. They even don’t want to confess what they did to the comfort women. People around them should give them a hand to help them through the hard times. Let them feel warm and kind from around. We had better let more people know the history about comfort women. If more people know this, community pressure will be increased. It can make Japanese give the survivors’ responses as soon as possible.
I hope the survivors in China can stand out to and try to speak about their experience as the survivors in Korean. There are also many victims in China. They shouldn’t keep silence. Silence can only make people know nothing about comfort women.
