Say“No”!

Recently drunk driving has become a more and more serious social problem, which has caused a lot of traffic accidents.
There are many reasons explaining people’s drunk driving. The main reason is that many people are engaged in attending Business negotiations, which can’t avoid drinking. What’s more, as our life get better and better in recent years, many people have cars, which is convenient for us to attend some parties or other activities. Thirdly, with the tempo of become more and more quickly, people relieve pressure by drinking which has considerably increase their safety risk.
In my standpoint, it is necessary to ban on drinking while driving and this will do good to not only other people but also the drinker himself. And our government should take measures to stop this phenomenon. First, polices should strengthen supervision, once find people drive after
drinking, we could fine drunk drivers much more money. Besides, we could make posers and signs to promote to not driving after dirking. In a word, safety is the most important thing for us, so we should say no to drunk driving.

Say No to Cheat
Admittedly, cheating in exams is a high frequency happening in students of all ages and it is often considered a despicable method. This phenomenon has been existing since ancient times and has become a potential practice. From my point of view, cheating,of course,is bound to be treated with stern and efficient measures to restrain the occurrence of it.
First of all,the reason why many students tend to cheat in exams at all costs is to get a high score so that they can pass exams or achieve good results, which may make them gain praise or accomplish other purposes they aspire to.That is to say:the essential reason of cheating is to satisfy the cheater’s vanity and desire, directly the concept and attitude. Therefore, the first step we need to take is to fundamentally rectify students’ wrong attitudes towards exam.Schools are supposed to refine the standard of evaluating students, which means we need to let students establish an idea that the marks is not the most important factor in school life.We can evaluate and reward students by a lot of aspects, such as morality trait, cooperation and competition consciousness, social performance, sports performance and so on.In this way, students will no longer only chase enough scores spontaneously and attach more significance to their comprehensive grades. In the meantime, schools ought to strengthen the cultivation of the students’ character of personal integrity. They can found a moral education system to help students put the honesty and integrity in the first place from an early age.Only if setting up a correct values will the phenomenon of cheating be reduced effectively.
On the other hand, accordingly,a proper punishment system must be built and utilized, which cooperates with moral education to obtain a better effect. After all,we cannot eliminate the phenomenon of cheating entirely even though we develop moral education with tooth and nail. Thus, when the minority of students cheat in exams we should take a tough and harsh tactics to punish them as a warning to others to reach
deterrent impact. But there is one point we need to pay attention that we must ensure the punishment that cheaters receive is advisable and not do harm to the development of students’ physical and mental condition.
With the above two methods legitimately used,I do believe that we would gain a effect that one plus one is greater than two in controlling the phenomenon of cheating as long as we make sufficient efforts. And facing this antique problem,we still have a long way to go.
Say‘No’to Junk Food
Say‘No’to Junk Food
Walking along the street, it could be easily observed that youngsters tend to visit fastfood stalls selling burgers and soft drinks or street stalls selling curry fishballs. They simply prefer them to traditional meals or even healthy meals. Besides the low nutrition value and lack of fibres from green vegetables, vast
amounts of fat, particularly trans fat, starts alarming the public. In response to the government’s promotion on healthy diet, our tuck shop has been told not to sell ‘junk food’. However, parents,
teachers and students take on quite different views and, consequently, they seem not to have reached any compromises yet.
Although parents and teachers seem to be on the same side, their interrelational effects are quite subtle. Teachers are indeed caught in a dilemma. On the one hand, they have the responsibility to take care of their students’ health as professional educators. On the other hand, they could be in trouble if some students accused them for ignoring students’ right to choose. Balancing the pros and cons, of course the school put the students’ welfare first. This can also be seen as a boon to the society because improving the health
standard of students today means relieving society’s medical burden in future. Last, but not least, schools are committed to providing students with the right value instead of fulfilling their every request.
From parents’ viewpoint, the opinions could be quite divided. The majority would consider the ban on junk food at school as a
blessing. Some may be misled by the shocking adverse effects greatly exaggerated by the media. Despite the fact that cancer, heart attack, coronary disease and obesity are developed if – and only if – one takes in food with high fat content and low nutrition value
constantly over a long time in vast amounts, parents often receive a distorted view: they think not only junk food, but other unhealthy snacks should be banned. They think the school has not yet got the job done. Some may think the reason they send their kids to school is to ‘enjoy’ school life, but not to ‘suffer’. They are the ones who put kids’ happiness at the first place. These polarized views could slow down the discussion considerably. Ignorant parents may even think schools should solely shoulder the responsibility.
Students are the recipients of the service. They are of course the major critics of the idea. No matter what their views towards junk food are, they would not welcome the idea of having their
choices reduced. For the junk food supporters, obviously they are the major victims, since they will not stop consuming junk food even if they are asked to. The lack of students’ support puts students and teachers in different ends and they lack mutual understanding. Concerning this issue, parents should understand the school’s standpoint and act as a bridge between the school and students. Parents could start the practice at home and make sure the students understand the meaning of the policy. Students should be made willing to support the school, instead of being forced to. The school should explicitly point out the dark side of junk food so that the students can understand why they should not eat it, instead of restricting them. This may be a counterproductive way because the students may even take in more junk food in their leisure time. Never will the school succeed if she works alone. It is high time the school allied with parents to give the students a healthy future.
