A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

“Daddy, may I ask you a question?”

“Yeah sure, what is it?” replied the man.

“Daddy, how much do you make an hour?”

“That’s none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?” the man said angrily. “I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?” pleaded the little boy.

“If you must know, I make $20 an hour.”

“Oh,” the little boy replied, with his head down. Looking up, he said, “Daddy, may I please borrow $10?”

The father was furious, “If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard every day for such childish behavior.”

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy’s questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $10 and he really didn’t ask for money very often.

The man went to the door of the little boy’s room and opened the door.

“Are you asleep, son?” He asked.

“No daddy, I’m awake,” replied the boy.

“I’ve been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier,” said the man, “It’s been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here’s the $10you asked for.”

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. “Oh, thank you daddy!” He yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, then looked up at his father.

“Why do you want more money if you already have some?” the father grumbled.

“Because I didn’t have enough, but now I do,” the little boy replied. “Daddy, I have $20 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.”

The Boys And The Frogs

One spring day some naughty boys were playing near a pond. They began to throw stones into the water. In the pond lived many frogs were much afraid of the boys, for the stones hurt some of the frogs. At last an old frog lifted his head out of the water and said, ¨Boys, please donˇt throw stones at us.〃 The boys said, ¨We are only playing.〃 ¨I know that, but please stop throwing stones, my boys. What is play to you is death to us,〃 said the old frog. So the boys stopped throwing stones and went away.

The Cock And The Jewel

One fine morning, a cock said to the hens and chickens, ¨Come, let us go out to find some food. We have not had our breakfast yet.〃 Then the cock began to dig the soft earth. Suddenly he cried, ¨Look, look! I have found something strange. I wonder what it is. It is like a ball. But it is not a stone. It may be an egg of some bird.〃 The hens heard his cry and came around him. One of them said, ¨Dear me! This is not an egg, but a jewel. Someone has lost it.〃 A chicken asked, ¨Can we eat it?〃 ¨No,〃 said the hen, ¨it is very precious to human beings, but it is of no use to us; we cannot eat it. Throw it away and try to find some worms. I want to have one worm than all the jewels in the world.〃

Tiger

An old tiger lived in the forest. He didn’t look for food for himself. He often asked the other animals to bring some food to him.

One day, he was very hungry. He saw a little monkey and said, “I’m hungry. Go to look for food for me!”

“Sorry, I can’t. There’s another tiger over there. He’s very big! He wants me to bring him a fat pig! He will not let me get food for you. I’m afraid of him!”

“What ?” the old tiger shouted angrily.“Show me that tiger. I want to eat him.” “Come with me, please.”said the monkey.

The monkey took the tiger to the river.“Look ,he’s in the river! He says he’s the No .1in the forest!”The old tiger was very anger, “I’ll eat him up!” With these words, the tiger jumped into the river.

“ I..., is she watching TV, please ask her to take good care of her eyes. I remember”

“ Go back home in this spring festival. I think this will be the last command if i haven’t lost prestige in this family in your mind.”
