* I am a 19yearold girl named Gina. When I was 17, I gave blood for the first time. It was a little scary because I don't like needles and I am afraid of looking at my own blood. The blood drive was in the high school gym. I determ(来自:WwW.smhaida.Com 海达 范文 网:关于献血的英语作文)ined to help because I had read the poster about how much one pint(品脱:计量单位) of blood could do for someone else. After signing a form, I lay in the chair. When I waited for the nurse to get to me, one girl I didn't know well noticed my nervousness and sat next to me, telling me what a good thing we were doing for someone else. It took a long time to get a pint. But somehow, I suddenly felt like an adult when my first blood donation was finished. I had overcome my fear in order to do something selfless that would benefit others.

Now, I still donate blood. The Red Cross calls and invites me to blood drives, and I always try to go. It's not scary any more. It's something you do for others, without getting anything in return.

In the passage, Gina, a 19yearold girl, shared us her first experience of donating blood, in which she realized that what she did would benefit others and made her an adult. People's opinions on donating blood vary from person to person. Some people believe it's good to both patients and donators. However, others are unwilling to give blood because they think it may be harmful to their health. As to me, I am in favor of the first idea. Those people who need blood must be seriously ill or badly injured, so you can save a life if you donate blood in time. Besides, donating blood will not do harm to our health. According to doctors, we even can benefit from it physically.

Views on donating blood vary from person to person. Some people think that it is glorious to donate blood. They hold this view because the blood they have donated can be used to save the patients who are in urgent need of it. But others hold that it is foolish for people to donate blood. In their opinion, blood is very precious to one’s health and if one loses 200ml or more of blood, it will do harm to his or her health.

As for me, I agree to the first opinion. The reasons for my choice are as follows. First, while it is true that loss of too much blood is dangerous to one’s health, it doesn’t mean donating a little blood is also harmful. Doctors tell us that donating a little blood is of no harm to anyone in good health and blood plays an indispensable role in saving a seriously ill patient.

In a word, I am convinced that donating blood is glorious. As new-century college students, we are supposed to donate blood as long as our health permits. Nothing can make us happier than saving a person.

1. Online Shopping, 2. Help Children to Be Independent,

3. Free Admission to Museum 4. Studying Abroad

5. Recreational Activities 6. Sending Kids to Art Classes

7. Taking Part-time Jobs 8. Limiting the Use of Disposable Bags

As is known to all, views on whether Chinese college graduates should go to study in a foreign country after they graduate from a Chinese university vary from person to person.

Some people think that it is ______ to _______.

They hold this view because ___________. But others hold that it is ________to ______. In their opinion, ________________.

As for me, I agree to _________. The reasons for my choice are as follows. First, while ___________, __________. ______________.

In a word, I am convinced that ______________.

Views on Online Shopping vary from person to person.

Views on the effects the popularity of online shopping has brought about vary from person to person.

Views on the necessity of limiting the use of disposable bags in our country vary from person to person.

Views on when parents should start to help their children to be independent vary from person to person.

Views on whether it is beneficial for college students to take part-time jobs vary from person to person.

Some people think that it is convenient to online shopping.

Some people think that it is more convenient and time-saving for them to do shopping online than go to the shopping malls.

Some people think that it is a very good choice for college students to go to study abroad after their graduation from college.

Some people think that it is necessary for the Chinese government to let Chinese people to enjoy free admission to all the museums in China.

Some people think that it is of great help for parents to help their children to be independent at an early age.

They hold this view because they can buy something at home.

They hold this view because they can order whatever they want in the online stores without going out and the goods will be delivered to their doors within at most two days. Besides the goods bought online are usually much cheaper than those in the traditional stores.

They hold this view because they think if college students take part-time jobs they can acquire some working experience which will be useful for their future jobs. Besides, they can learn something which cannot be learnt from textbooks.

But others argue that it is not necessary for the museums to be open to the public free of charge.

.

First, while ___________, it doesn’t mean ________________.

People’s views on the necessity of educational reform vary from person to person. Some people think it very important and necessary for China to carry out the educational reform in our colleges and universities right now. They hold this view because they think the traditional way of education is outdated. Therefore, we must replace the test-oriented education with an ability-oriented education. Only in this way can our universities and colleges turn out qualified graduates who can meet the demands of the society.

But others hold that the reform is unnecessary. In their opinion, the test-oriented education is very good. The test score is a ruler to measure the degree of students’ mastery of knowledge. From their standpoint, nothing can replace the examination system at present. With the traditional educational system, our country has developed fast and will do as ever.

As for me, I am in favor of the first view. I have the following reasons for my standpoint. First, the world keeps changing. If we know only book knowledge, it is not enough for us to keep up with the rapid development of science and technology. Besides, high score doesn’t mean high intelligence. Students should have more chances to develop various kinds of practical skills while in college.

In a word, I am convinced that educational reform is extremely necessary in this country.

Emerson once said, “It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.” This is especially true when it comes to blood donation, as is evidently depicted in the picture above. However, people’s attitudes towards blood donation, according to a survey conducted recently, differ from person to person. While over half of the surveyed are willing to donate blood without payment, there are still quite many showing their unwillingness and some even take on an indifferent attitude.

Actually, blood donation benefits both the donors and the receivers. For one thing, the little blood donated does little harm to donors but does great good to receivers, which, in most cases, means lives saved. For another, potential risks are likely to fall upon anyone, when those who donate blood without payment have the privilege in return to receive blood for free, which precisely proves what Emerson said.

Personally, I do believe in the power of helping others, and as a member of the society, I will surely do my part to contribute to the social charity. Student as I am, I am willing to donate my blood without payment as well as convince my families and friends to do the same. Meanwhile, I hope the authorities will step up series of measures and regulations concerned to appeal to more social members to join in this cause of charity.
