There are 3 main reasons why I selected the major of Engineering. First of all, I like independent thinking and figuring out problems. When I was little, I had made some gadgets, such as model car. Consequently, Engineering meets my appetite. Secondly, I think Engineering is a practical science. All the knowledge I learnt from school could be applied to my daily life. No matter if I could be a professional Engineer, I do believe the knowledge will help in the future. Finally, more and more global problems are showing up continuously, like Energy Crisis, Environmental Issues, Technology Innovation and so on. Engeering can help me master the way to solve these problems, which is a great contribution to the world. What's more, I consider that the person who obtains the Engeering knowledge will have a prosperous career path.
University of Toronto is my dream place to have further study on Engeering since this major is famous to the whole world. Your great emphasis and your huge investment on Engineering Education is also well-known to all. That's why you have cultivated piles of marvelous gradutes successfully.
