看得出来yeyewa的翻译是有功底的,起码词汇量是很多人所不能及的.下面说说自己的浅见,希望不要介意：
（1）of应该改成off,估计是粗心少打了一个字母,否则语意不通.
（2）scale这个词用得太生僻了,有点堆砌辞藻的嫌疑,其实mount一词就够用了.一方面,scale的本义没有“攀登”的意思,攀爬的意思应该是转义过来的,用这个词会让多数人摸不着头脑甚至要去查英英字典,或者说scale的这个用法已经比较古老了,英语是以沟通为目的的,不是为难他人为目的的,最好还是让scale的这一用法寿终正寝吧.另一方面,scale the peak是有语病的,就算用scale应该是scale up to/for the peak才对(march for 也行）.毕竟mountain是我们scale的对象,peak只是destination而已,仅仅是mountain的一部分,这个整体和局部的关系不能乱,后面的climb也有这个问题.
基于上述分析,冒昧为您改动如下,供参考：
