以我的水平，我认为第（1）句除非是你打错，否则它是个错句。它的结构很混乱，如果说which要引非限定从的话，它应该是这样：...of words, which was taken together,此时which代words引定从，从句中应另有一套主谓，(which充当主语）；若要把taken together做后置定语分析吧，take应做非谓语动词，句子应该为:of words taken together making up ...(make也做非喂动)才对啊。。。
（2）第2句中你说的with不是和familiar组成词组用的，更没有提前。其中不是有个which吗，它是指代前边的words做介词with的宾语的，而with在这的意思是：用，凭借。句中的be familiar in才是一个词组，辨认一下：be familiar with ...对...很熟悉（侧重对人）；be mamiliar in ...对...很熟悉（侧重对事件或对某一领域的知识）
