One day, Tom’s father asked him to help him carry some cotton on the donkey to sell on the the market. On their way to the market, they had to cross a river. It was very shallow. But when the dondey stepped into the river, the cotton on the back of the dondey began to slip. His father saw it, the he wanted to ask his son to pull the cotton onto the back of dondey. But thinking of his son’s bad babit, he him to press the cotton into water. He expected his son to do the opposite as usual. But this time his son did just as his father ordered. He pressed the cotton into water. He shouted to his son angrily, “why didn’t you do the opposete as before?” his son ansoerd slowly, “thes time I thought that I would do just what you told me to show how stupid your orders always are.”
