首先,分清这几个的词性,cross,pass是动词,cross侧重于横穿,比如过马路,pass by 指走过,路过,pass还指时间过去,pass sth onto sth 传递.
across,through,over通常作副词,across 是cross 变过来的,表达的意思和cross差不多,只是词性不同而已,一般和其它的动词连用,through侧重于从物体的里面穿过,像go through the forest,travel though the city,也可以表达较抽象的意思,通过某个过程,通过某个经历,over侧重于从物体的上方过,高于,超过,the bridge over the river（穿过河上方的桥）,she is over forty(她已经超过40岁了）
past一般是名词.指过去,往事,搭配如in the past（在过去）,miss the past （想念过去）
cross through, pass through, walk through,cross over, walk across, 应该这样用 除了forest用through,其它都用across或cross Walk over
