我的问题是:解析的前半句意思我没有懂,从句和主句的主语一致（指的的是anthropologist吗?) 从句的谓语构成有be,从句的be动词可以省略（这句话怎么理解?从句里是没有be动词,从句的主语也省略了吗?主句里没有be动词啊?）

He cleared his throat as if to say something.他清了清嗓子,像要说什么似的.
