In the lecture,the professor is skeptical about the idea of the reading passage that the best way to get certain latest project is to assemble a number of people into a group and the number of the team can also get reward.The professor instead argue that the teamwork is not a effective way to approach the new products and it do no good to the member of the group according to the recent research.
Firstly,in the reading passage,since having a group of people can assemble all the knowledge they get ,the team can work more efficient than the individuals.
On the contrary,the professor says that they may work much slower than the individuals because they get a lot of time to reach the agreement.
On the top of that,the reading passage describe that the influential group member will feel better and the other team member have more chance to show themselves.However,the professor asserts that if the influential person think the projects don't work then the projects will be quickly drop out without taking other group members opinion into account.And the creativity of the other member will be ignored.
Finally,the professor disproves the reading's idea that the group will be prone to make more risk decision.The professor,however,points out that if the projects are failed,all the member of the group will be blame.This also indicates that people who worked hard were not given recognition they should have gotten.
