Yu Qian (May 13,1398 — 1457 month 2 years 16),Han nationality.Zhejiang Qiantang (present Hangzhou,Zhejiang,Tongxiang Say 1) person,the Ming dynasty hero,national hero.
于谦（1398年5月13日—1457年2月16日）,汉族.浙江钱塘（今浙江杭州,一说桐乡）人,明朝功臣,民族英雄.

永乐十九年（1421年）,于谦考中了进士.

宣德初年（1426）,任命于谦为御史.宣德五年升兵部右侍郎,巡抚山西、河南,整顿军备.正统十三年（1448）,升兵部左侍郎.次年秋,明京军主力在土木堡之战中溃败,明英宗被俘,蒙古瓦剌军乘胜进攻京师（今北京）.在此关头,于谦反对迁都,力主抗战,升任兵部尚书,率军击败瓦剌军,取得北京保卫战的胜利.战后,他首创团营军制,加强边戍,委任名将镇守.主张以战求和,多次击败瓦剌军的进攻,迫使其首领也先释放英宗回朝.景泰八年（1457）正月中旬 ,英宗借夺门之变重登帝位.二十二日,于谦遭诬陷被害.后沉冤昭雪,赠太傅,谥肃愍,又改谥忠肃.遗有《于忠肃集》.
