This story is about the King Edward VIII(Duke of Windsor) and his wife Mrs Wallis Simpson(Duchess of Windsor).
Let me tell you about this story:
Prince Edward was born in 1894,he has a high position in society but he fells lonely.becuase he didn’t have any friends.his father and mother was very busy,they can’t gave Edward any love.
In the spring of 1911,Edward was invested as Prince of Wales,but he is still alone.
When the First World War beings,Edward sees frighting on the front line in Belgium.Many people like it,because his ia friendly and kind.
Edward made acquaintance of wallis In the autume of 1930.And then,they fall in love.Edward thinks wallis is different.becauce waills say this king is so boring.
About wallis,I knew she’s been married two times.she is a beautiful woman and friendly to people.
Edward became a king in january 1936.and then,he want to marry with wallis.but Edward’s family object to the marriage.
Edward has no idea.he just think the love is ture.So,he gives the crown to his brother and leaves England.
And then,Edward and wallis marry in France.They take the name Duke and Duchess of Windsor.For the next thirty years the Duke and Duchess live outside England.but they dosen’t fell lonely.
Edward died in 1972.wallis died in 1982.there’s body is buried in England at Windsor Castle.Somebody said:When they were alive,the Duke and Duchess could never live in Britain.It was only in death that they could bu there together.
It’s a strange thing.I think so.
