It is mainly Cantonese but TV and broadcasting are in Mandarin.Most people speak Mandarin.

We use Mandarin in education.But the people in city always use Cantonese in social life.
People from other province may use Mandarin.But Cantonese is used everywhere.So dont worry about it .
