Food Safety

The food safety problem reflected in the news has gone atrending topic on some social medias, with many users sharing andcommenting recently. These news tells us that food safety problemis surfacing and becoming another bitter truth we must learn toface, which is in large measure detrimental if these sorry state ofaffairs run its course. In no country, other than China, it hasbeen said, is this problem more urgent and serious.

First, I observe that profits drive many food producers tocommit illegal things. They aim to gain more money at the expenseof consumers’ health. Second, the overuse of agricultural pesticidehas resulted in the degradation of food quality. The excessivepesticide bears enormous health hazard for people. Furthermore,some food producers inject hormones into domestic animals so as tomake them grow more quickly and thus they can turn in more profit.As a result, people’s health has been seriouslydisturbed.

The situation being so serious, it is high time that wetook effective measures to protect food safety.
