Believe in Yourself

I still remember a saying I heard in my childhood, “People who lost heart will never succeed.” But it is one of my experiences that made me really understand its meaning.

In the second year of senior middle school, I couldn't decide which major to

take, Art or Science. There were two reasons which caused my headache: on one hand, I was good at Science, because I was sensitive to numbers and formulas; on the other hand, I preferred literature, because I worshipped freedom and didn't like to be fettered by rules. After serious consideration, I chose Art resolutely even though under a lot of pressure.

However, the pain wasp't over even though I made my decision. I didn't do well

in Art. Even in my class, I was just so so. I was so miserable that I began to suspect my ability. I even thought about changing, my major and studying Science. My teacher

would be so surprised if I rushed into her of-five and told her about that, I believed.

Sometimes, life changes unexpectedly.

I could remember clearly it was on the morning of a Thursday. We were having a history class. In the class, my teacher made some comments on my test paper. I failed again. After class, I stood in the corridor outside my classroom. I had complicated feelings, but it seemed there was nothing in my brain. I sighed to one of my good friends, and looked into the distance. In the front,several new buildings were growing on the site. My history teacher, who was about 30 years old, had a magnetic voice, a wide range of knowledge and unlimited wisdom. She patted me on the shoulder and told me, “Though you didn't get a good mark, I found you have great potential because you are thinking in a logical way. Work harder, pay more attention to the skills of answering questions, and you will have no problem. Believe in yourself, and you can do it better.” Hearing this, I felt my blood was boiling and rushed up into my brain. Suddenly, I understood that I had lost my confidence. I calmed down and sat down by the table, learning politics and history. At last, I got the first place in our class. I finally won through hard working.

I am lucky, because I met a good teacher. She made' me understand that I had great potential. There is no hill that I couldn't climb, and there is no hole that I couldn't fill, if I have a will. It is absolutely unnecessary to linger in past memories. Believe in yourselves, stimulate your potential; and you will succeed in the end.

永远相信自己

记得很小就听过这么一句话:“对自己丧失信心的人,只会与成功失之交臂。”而真正深刻理解这句话的内涵,却是由于一次直观的体验。

高二文理分科时我曾经挣扎思考了良久。让我如此痛苦的原因有两个:我一直对理科拿手,而文科却不怎么样,属于那种对数字、公式比较有认同感的人;但我又一直比较喜欢文科,是那种思想情感不愿被条条框框所束缚而追求自由的人。经过深思熟虑之后,我毅然顶住了各种压力而选择了文科。

然而痛苦并未由于选择而划上句号。我的文科成绩徘徊不前,即使在班里也排不上好名次。我极度痛苦。我怀疑自己。我左右摇摆。我的防线也快要崩溃了。我甚至都想象得出哪天我冲进班主任的办公室,告诉她我要转班时她眼镜片后面的眼睛中那股掩饰不住的诧异。

生活终究因为一些小小的契机而改变。

我清楚地记得那是一个周四上午,天很蓝,刚上完一节历史课,那节课上老师点评了我的一张考卷,我照例考得不好。我站在教室外的走廊上,无限感慨但其实头脑一片空白,对我的同桌兼好友叹了长长一口气,眼光据说非常深邃地望着前方—那是一片建筑工地,正

在孕育着新建筑。我的历史老师,一个三十出头、说话很有磁性、一看就是充满知识与智慧的典型的高中女教师,拍了拍我的肩膀,告诉我:“虽然你的分考得不怎样,但看你的大题,思路清晰明了,多下点功夫,学会答题的技巧,你完全没有问题。相信自己,你完全可以做好。”我的血冲上了头脑,愣在那儿。我恍然大悟,原来这么多天来我竟然连我的自信也丢

失了。我又心平气和地坐在了我的书桌旁,啃起了历史、政治。最后,我的成绩跃上了班里第一。我终于用自己的汗水和辛劳赢得了胜利。

我是幸运的,因为我碰到了一位好老师,她让我明白自己其实是有潜能的,只要我愿意,生活中没有翻不过去的坡,没有填不平的坑。而你,你们都一样,不必纠缠在过去的记忆中而畏缩,树立起自信,勇敢地向前迈进,激发自己的潜能,你一定能得到自己渴望良久的东西。

一、 教学目标

学唱英语歌是提高学生学习英语兴趣的重要手段,让学生从中体会到学习的乐趣,既能音乐带来的乐趣,又能愉快接受知识,从而使学生增强自信心,学好英语。

二、教学重点:

(一) 该片简单情况介绍:

Egypt, eons of years ago: Pharao Seti commands all male

hebrew babies to be drowned. A desperate mother places her son in a basket and lets the Hebrew god guide it along its way on the river. The basket is found by the Queen, and Moses is brought up

as a brother to the heir of the throne, Ramses. Years later, the brothers, who grew up happily and wealthy, are split by Moses' recognition of his true heritage and the suppressing system his brother is about to inherit, willing to carry it on. Fleeing from the city in despair, Moses finds himself being called by God. 皇后在河边捡到了这个漂亮的男孩,将他带回宫殿抚养,取名摩西。摩西和王子兰姆蒂斯一起长大,两人成了最好的朋友。摩西十分反对法老对希伯来人的暴政,一次他为了阻止一名埃及人残害希伯来人而将失手将他打死。为了逃避法老的惩罚,摩西逃到了米甸地。不久法老去世,兰姆蒂斯成了新法老。摩西原本以为兰姆蒂斯会一改以往法老对希伯来人的暴政,没想到兰姆蒂斯反而变本加厉。在神的指示下,摩西知道了自己的身世,于是他决定要带领希伯来人走出困境。他克服重重困难,坚守自己的信念,相信自己,最后引导希伯来人获得了自由。

When it comes to youth. we will think of the following words, passionate, lovely, enthusiastic, playful and so on. But one word I regard as the most important is energetic.

There is no doubt that all the teenagers at our ages have the desire to show ourselves and to prove that we're not so bad. On the contrary, we can do better than anyone else. Since I' m one of them, I am standing here right now to speak out our personalities.

We' re brave. As you can see, each time school holds some contests, we take an active part in them . Maybe we' re shy,don't know how express ourselves properly and sometimes we stand on the stage but forget the words we have prepared for more than 100 times. So embarrassed! But who cares!
