[摘要]如何翻译诗歌，把中国诗歌这种具有独特形式的文学艺术介绍给其他国家的人们，满足跨文化交流的需要，是值得翻译工作者研究的问题。本文试图从德国功能翻译理论的角度研究诗歌翻译中的理论和实践经验。

诗歌这种具有悠久历史和独特形式的文学艺术形式，在中国文学艺术宝库中占有重要的地位。诗歌中常会使用各种修辞手法，明喻更是常见。由于诗歌是我国乃至全世界所拥有的一种文学艺术形式，这给翻译工作者翻译时带来种种困难。德国功能理论为研究对联的翻译提供了新途径。

诗歌这种既有广泛阅读群体，又精炼文雅的文学形式，至今仍焕发着青春，受到人民群众喜爱，也将有永久的生命力。由于诗歌是我国乃至全世界所共同拥有的不朽文学艺术形式，而且东西方对诗歌的不同解读和文化底蕴差异，翻译诗歌困难不小。如何翻译诗歌，把中国诗歌这种具有独特形式的文学艺术介绍给其他国家的人们，满足跨文化交流的需要，是值得翻译工作者研究的问题。本文试图从德国功能翻译理论的角度研究诗歌翻译中的理论和实践经验。

德国功能翻译理论于二十世纪七八十年代在德国出现并兴起。代表人物是凯瑟林娜·赖斯、汉斯·弗米尔、贾斯特·霍斯·曼特瑞、克里丝汀·诺德。

凯瑟林娜·赖斯认为理想的目的语文本应该是译文的目的在概念内容、语言形式和交际功能上同源语文本是等同的。赖斯提出了三步骤的源语文本分析过程。第一步确定源语文本的类型：信息型文本，表达型文本，或是操作型文本。信息型文本的重点是所传达的内容，表达型文本是作者用以表达个人态度的一种创作型文本，操作型文本是为了吸引读者以某种方式行事的文本。第二步确定原文的文本变体。文本变体是依据某一语言群体中现成的社会文化交际模式，对源语文本进行的分类。第三步分析源语文本的风格，帮助译者决定采用何种翻译策略。赖斯指出，信息型文本的翻译应包含源语文本中的所指内容或概念内容。表达型文本强调语言的形式和美学功用，在翻译表达型文本时，原文的美学和艺术形式应在译文中保留。操作型文本的译文应具有和原文相同的效果。

汉斯·弗米尔提出的目的论有两个核心概念：目的和委任。他认为，源语文本主要是面向源语读者的，所以原文的写作目的和译文的目的很可能不同。因此翻译时确定翻译的目的十分重要。弗米尔指出，译者是根据他人的委任进行翻译。委任包括两方面：委任的目的以及达到目的的条件。作为委任的产物，译文最终要满足目的语读者的需求。贾斯特·霍斯·曼特瑞提出了翻译行为的观点。她认为翻译过程是一个由多个参与者加入的交际过程，每位参与者发挥不同的作用。因为译者负责为目的语读者译出交际性很强的文本，译者应是翻译行为中的专家。

曼特瑞认为翻译是一个文化交流过程，应在翻译目的和目的语读者需求的指导下进行。克里丝汀·诺德支持目的论，同时认为译者和源语文本作者的关系也应该纳入到目的论中，于是她引入了一个新的概念—忠诚，忠诚意味着目的语文本的意图应和原作者的意图相协调。忠诚概念的引入充实了目的论的内容。

从赖斯的文本类型及翻译策略角度来看，《再别康桥》这首诗歌属于信息型文本，表达型文本，以及操作型文本中的表达型文本，所以译者翻译的目的是向读者传递原作者的情感和原文语言的美学功能，从这一来分析，译文一做得并不好。尤其在韵律节拍上，译文一已经完全失去的原文的精髓。“轻轻的，我走了，正如我轻轻的来”一句中exactly用的稍显拘谨，同样，比较I wave to the western sky,Telling it goodbye softly,gently.和I quietly wave,Saying goodbye to the clouds of the west.这两句翻译，再对比原文：我轻轻的招手，作别西天的云彩。我们会发现第二句翻译无论在节拍还是在与原文的对应性上都好于译文一，再对比Her quivering reflection，Stays fixed in my mind.和Angles’ shadow from the meek wave is lingering softly on my heart.再对比原文：波光里的艳影，在我的心头荡漾。第一句翻译完全没有体现出原文的审美趋向，而是仅仅简单地对对原文进行粗糙的解读，然后再翻译出来，原文的美感被破坏无余，而且一些关键词汇的应用也不是很准确，如mind与heart，西方人常说you will be in my heart来表达爱慕及思念，而不是you stay in my mind，因为mind一词表达太过理性而失去唯美色彩。很显然，从功能翻译角度看待的话，第二译文要明显好于第一译文，而且译文二也比较重视于原文的“对等”，更能让读者感到译文的流畅，在措辞上也比较注意，能够让读者感受到原文作者的写作目的。
