As can be seen from the graph，there have been sharp changes in the age distribution of drug addicts. To be concrete，the teenage addicts only made up 10 percent of all the drugsters in 1982 while the ratio rose up to 65 in 2002.

The causes for them are not hard to find. First，teenagers’fearless curiosity about everything new has led some of them into this marsh. Second, many of the young addicts turned for the first time to drugs for escape either from their failure in the national entrance exams or from their parents’ breakup. And above all， our education in the harmfulness of drugs has been far from adequate to build teenagers’ sound resistance to drugs. To sum up，the causes mentioned above must call for more of our concern， and effective measures should be taken to check the trend.

Obviously the drastic change will exert great impact on individuals and the whole society.

For one thing，drug-taking does great damage to the health of drug users. For another, some drug users commit robbery or even murder their parents and relatives to get money to buy drugs, which poses a great threat to the social security and the social stability. Therefore, it is high time we did something to put an end to this trend.

The majority of people would agree that cigarette smoking has caused serious problems. But the tobacco companies insist that they contribute greatly to the world economy by paying taxes to the government and employing hundreds of workers.

Personally, I believe that cigarette production and consumption threatens to do more harm than good. Firstly, smoking is responsible for many fatal diseases such as lung cancer, heart diseases and so on. According to the survey, tobacco consumers account for about 20% of the world population, and among them, three million people die from smoking-related diseases every year. The fact that the output of tobacco production is reduced from 143.64 billion pounds in 1994 to 142 billion pounds in 1995 also suggests that people have come to realize the negative effects of smoking. Secondly, tobacco consumption is extremely wasteful of money. As is indicated in the pictures, 200 billion US dollars is lost due to smoking each year. Obviously, the total loss of money around the globe substantially exceeds the gain in the industry.

In conclusion, as the economic development aims at making our life better, we cannot sacrifice our health for short-term financial benefits. If we have to spend more and more money providing medical services for those who suffer from smoking-related illnesses, the notion of promoting economy via tobacco production is not justifiable. It is high time that we fought for the total tobacco ban.

一回到家，我看见爸爸坐在沙发上津津有味地看电视，我怒火中烧大嚷道：“爸爸，不是说好给我做豆腐吗？你怎么在看电视呀！我都要饿死了。”爸爸不紧不慢地说：“饭都给你做好了，在桌子上放着呢”！我一听兴高采烈地说：“太好了。”我便直奔那盘豆腐走去。啊！好香呀！我立刻拿勺子盛了三块香喷喷的豆腐，狼吞虎咽地大吃起来，啊！好烫呀！我立刻把豆腐吐了出来，我想这就怪了，明明外面不烫呀！里面怎么会烫呀？刚刚真是好烫啊，现在舌头还??还热呢，是不是老爸在里面加了什么东西呀！那汤有没有变烫呢？我喝了一口汤，奇怪汤是温的，肉块也是温的，怎么偏偏豆腐是热的呀，这到底是怎么一回事呀？真是百思不得其解呀！我又仔细一看发现豆腐上有许多小孔，啊？那更不对头了，有空应该更容易散热呀？还是把它夹开看看吧！我用筷子小心翼翼地把它夹开，我恍然大悟，原来豆腐上的眼和眼之间并不是通着的，散热性并不好，至于外面，风一吹就会凉的，正是这样，才造成了豆腐万凉里热的现象呀！以后吃豆腐要小心了。

咦？这是哪里？怎么会有股刺鼻的味道？于是我顺着这不同寻常的味道一探究竟。渐渐的，我隐约的看见一群人蹲坐在凳子上，他们的嘴里分别含着一根吸管，下面还有火在烤着吸管。一个念头突然闪过了我的脑海：“他们可能在吸毒!”这时我被当中的一个人给看见了，他不怀好意对我说道：“小姑娘，过来，这可是好东西，来尝尝吧。” 我害怕极了，于是转身跑开，并尖叫着 …… 叮-叮-叮-

“啊，原来是一个梦呀，还好是一个梦，这可真是吓坏我了。”我长叹一口气，感慨道。

我躺在床上，回忆起了学校老师给我们看的关于这方面的图片以及我在书上看到的吸毒故事。其中的一个故事，我印象十分深刻。讲的是一个女孩，她有着漂亮的脸蛋，傲人的身材。一天，乐队来找她去演戏，演一个吸毒女，但谁也没想到的是她假戏真做，导致吸毒上瘾。后来她吸毒这件事被学校知道了。由于学校不能容忍吸毒的学生，于是她立刻被开除了。最后女孩自暴自弃，越陷越深，终究走上了自杀的道路。同时也给她的家庭带来了不可抹灭的伤痛 ……

通过这些故事，我想呼吁大家一定不要吸毒。毒品不是什么好东西，如果你抱着好奇的心态去尝试吸毒，那么你终会误入歧途，原本幸福美满的家庭，最后都会妻离子散、家破人亡。同时我也要向周围的人们宣传吸毒的危害，让大家都珍爱生命，远离毒品，争做对社会有用的人。
