In July 2001,the news said our capital,Beijing is going to host the 2008 Olympic Games.When I heard the news,I was amazed and excited.I couldn't believe it.But it was true. I am really proud of my great motherland,China!As a student,what can I do for the Beijing Olympics? My mom gave me a alot of advice.She said to me,"Lorin,I think you can be a good volunteer at the 2008 Olympic Games.You can help the people who can't speak Mandarin." I said to her,"Mom,what should I do to be a great volunteer?" Mom said to me with a smile,"If you want to go to Beijing during the games,you must practice your pronunciation every day.Next,you must be a polite girl.Maybe you can make friends with many foreign people." Mom's words encouraged me a lot.To realize my dream,from now on,I must study hard to improve my English.Next,I have to grasp some knowledge of sports,which I think will be very important for an Olympic volnteer
