跟你说一个我周围真实的事吧.我是在国外留学的,这事前两天刚发生的,我们几个中国人知道了都笑翻了.下面这封信绝对是我原创的,哈哈.
Dear Tom,
How are you?
I''m going to tell you how do we greet others in China. We usually don't say "Hello" when we meet someone else in the street. We say "have you had your lunch/ dinner?" Last week, one of my Iranian friend, Saeed, whose landlord is a Chinese, was very upset and confused about why his landlord always asks him whether has he had his dinner. He complained to me that he thought his landlord was very kind to offer him dinner when he was asked this question for the first few times. But after several times, he didn't receive any invitation for dinner from his landlord. So, he was a little bit angry. He thought that if you don't want to treat me with a dinner, why bother asking? When he told me this, I couldn't help laughing. This is definitely cultrual shock. After knowing the truth, he also laughed.
