1,the key to sth/doing sth.这个to 如果做介词后面加宾语或doing的结构,这个是积累出来的,固定搭配.
2,首先这个might be是和前面那个told一致的,这个确实是要与主句一致,但是后面start就不必了,后面不是一个从句,又表将来的状态,所以用starts.这是现在时表将来
3for 不可以用于句首.
4也对,但是考察的是other 的用法.
5还是固定搭配,make contribution to doing,小同学,词组要记准确啊!
6the other在只用两个人的时候才用,如,i have two uncles.one is a teacher,and the other is a doctor.
7这个不知道,我认为应该是复数
8请看后面的need,你不觉得need后面缺少一个宾语吗?time 就是need的宾语.即,do you need 是time的定语从句,前面不许得有一个名词.

prefer to do 和 prefer doing 的区别类似于like to do 和like doing的区别,doing表示一种比较稳定的选择,而to do 有暂时性,如i like fishing.和 i like to fish when it's sunny
