Convenience foods are becoming increasingly prevalent nowadays.In fact,such a phenomenon can be ascribed to one of the main characteristics of modern civilization.But in my opinion,prevalent as convenience foods are,they are not likely to completely replace traditional foods and traditional methods of food preparation.
People are busy now,so it is very troublesome to spend our precious time making foods after a day’s hard work.I think this is the most salient reason for the prevalence of convenience foods.Most people choose convenience foods over traditional foods only for the sake of saving their time.If they become less busy,say,when taking a vacation or after their retirement,they will certainly cook for themselves,preserving the great tradition of “we make what we eat.”
Convenience foods make our lives easier at the expense of depriving us of the pleasure of cooking.Food has been the most important product to us throughout the whole human history.We are so enthusiastically attached to food that the process of producing it has developed into a science – gastronomy.A true epicure would not be able to endure being taken away the satisfaction of tasting delicious food as well as the enjoyment of making it.
If we deliberate on this subject,we will find out that in spite of all those omnipresent fast-food restaurants scattered along the street,there are still many people cooking their own food following traditional methods.Cooking is part of our culture and thus cannot be easily forsaken.
Spare us some time and give us a good appetite,restaurants may run out of business!

不过有个小建议,貌似雅思大作文最好不用第一和第二人称.
