1 more改成many,store要加复数,另外burst up之间没有连字符吧. (楼上提出的supermarket应该可以不用改,因为the加可数名词单数能表示一类事物,可商榷）
2 began to be是什么意思? became就可以了,语法不错,但是很awkward.
3 be successful in后面要接动名词,可加solving.
4 be think? be动词后面怎么能再跟实义动词呢?也没有必要用过去时,去掉were.另外,as是介词,后面得跟宾语,形容词不能做宾语的,而且也没有“比较、更”的意思,不用比较级,more successful改成a success吧.
5 to也是介词,同上,develop是动词,不能加the,也不可以做宾语,不能跟在to后面,所以develop要改成development.而且后面这半句很awkward,建议把the develop of the science in our country改成the scientific development of our country.

He made a contribution to the science development from his research in our country.(只有人可以为科学发展做贡献,而不是东西,所以主语要用人,而且句型尽量简化)
