To split attention to listening, thinking, taking notes and interpreting simultaneously is a essential basic skill for an interpreter as determined by the instantaneity in oral interpretation.
For the purpose of cultivating the skill of split attention, the interpreter may prepare pen & papers for writing down on paper the Arabic numerals from 1 to 100 in their consecutive order while doing listening comprehension. In such practices, the interpreter shall make efforts to write the numerals in the right order and be able to correctly recite the content of the text after listening.
