Let the classics be classics

As everyone knows,reading makes a full man.But what kind of book should we should we read?Some people hold the view that the classics are classics because they have stood the test of time. Therefore, they are to be treasured by people of all generations, ours being no exception. Others believe that the classics represent the wisdom of the past. Nowadays,people always chase of material,such as wealth,fame and so on.but material can't replace some things.They think read classics are out of style and boring. However, when they really clam down and think about it, now the people are too impetuous, can't calm down to understand classics.

In my opinion,we should read a lot of classics,the more classics you read,the more knowledge you get.We read classics to get what we want.Classics have always been our good friends indeed because they are constantly in need.Read classics,this is a way to know more about the world.Through read classics,we will acquire more knowledge,more information,and more wisdom,we will better develop our personality and our word integrity.

To look for some information or just to spend time,I often go to the

bookshop.In general, the books on language and literature attracts me

more. And in my view,time spent in a bookshop can be pretty enjoyable

whether you are a book-lover or merely there to buy a book as a present

for a friend.

In fact,the degree of satisfaction in a bookshop depends more on the

service of the book-sellers or assistants. They must be indulgent and

long-suffering . There is a story which well illustrates this. I once entered a bookshop just to wander off . When I picked up an

interesting book and soon become totally unaware of my surroundings,the

bookshop assistant then approached to me to ask me with warm reception

whether I would like to buy that book in my hands. What's more,she even

introduced me its information about the author ,content and price

forwardly. It can't be denied that she may be a good seller.

However,when I showed no interest in buying and explained that I

was just having a look, her face immediately turned flat without any

expressions. As a shop assistant ,should she behave in that way?

Comparing to the two kinds of views above, it is obvious that people regard inheriting classical culture as the opposite to exploring new ideas. As a matter of fact, there are a fair amount of people who even hold the view that the damage to their culture which caused by clash of old ideas and new ones is

irreparable.Therefore, they follow their team firmly and restrict to another concept absolutely.

However, from my perspectives, the conflict between them is slim enough to be ignored. On the contrary, to some extent, if we learn to use essence of the former to cultivate the latter, we will reap unexpected effect. First of all, for one thing, classics are of enough qualifications to let people regard them as treasure, for they can stand the test of time; for another thing, with the development of science and technology, what is considered very useful in the past might be out of date at the present time. For example, over the past several years, E-book industry has developed rapidly while the printed publications are

vanishing.Secondly, as the saying goes, learning is like rowing upstream -- not to advance is to drop back. Therefore, it is necessary for us to venture into the unknown and generate new understanding of man and nature. Nevertheless, the new things are not stable generally, for the foundations of them are not mature enough to compete with others. For instance, something called

non-mainstream which was popular on the Internet has disappeared. To be honest, I was fed up with the weird ideas at one time. Last but not least,

understanding knowledge of classical culture is the foundation of exploring new culture, in addition, what I firmly believe in is that it can also help strengthen new things. It is known to us all that the majority of mathematical theorems are established on the basis of the preceding ones. Meanwhile, the new technology can help people understand the classical culture better and carry forward the classics. For example, four years ago, the painting called Qingmingshanghetu which was displayed on three-degree version at the Shanghai world expo exhibition has been a hit all over the world.

In a word, no matter how we view the two kinds of opinions, we should try our best to learn things which has existed in the world.

Over the past several years, with the development of science and

technology, the weather around us has become worse and worse, which even leaded to higher rate of occurrence of respiratory disease. Even worse, the

weather around us is in the trend of worsening, which is partly caused by severe damage to vegetation. For instance, haze has been proved to be of great harm to persons' bodies, which we can easily infer from the picture above. Besides, it is harder for us to predict temperature without the weather forecast in spite of we being in summer.

From my point of view, being university students, what we should do first is to keep ourselves from harm of the bad weather. In addition, government ought to take measures to protect environment to prevent the weather getting worse.

According to the essay, I learn that writing is a process of creating, organizing, writing, and polish. Previously, we have to specify the article's particular audience, tone, and purpose.

Firstly, in the step of creating, we should choosing and narrowing a topic at first. When choosing a topic, we could reflect on what interests us or conforms to the requirements.When narrowing atopic, we should narrow the topic as far as possible. Then generating ideas to collect information and develop ideas.

Secondly, in the step of planning, as a first step toward making an outline, divide the ideas in the communication problems list further into sub-lists and cross out any items that do not belong or that are not useable. Moreover, do remember to write a topic

sentence.Besides, with an outline in front of us, it should be relatively easy to write a paragraph.

Thirdly, the step3 is to write a rough draft. Follow our outline as closely as possible. Of course, we can add or get rid of ideas which are relevant at any time in the writing process.

Finally, in the step of polishing, we should carry it out in accordance with the following steps. Firstly, when revising it, we can change, rearrange, add, or delete, all for the goal of communicating our thoughts in a clearer, more effective, and more interesting way.Secondly, what we should do is to proofread to eliminate possible errors in grammar, sentence structure, spelling, and punctuation. Last but not least, we should write a final copy neatly and legibly in ink or type it on a computer. Moreover, we, sometimes, might determine to make changes. If so, just do it if you are sure that the idea is superior.

In a word, writing is a continuous process of writing and rewriting until we are satisfied with the final product.

With the development of science and technology, we are stepping into a society which is full of Internet.

It is obvious that there are more and more electronic communication tools appearing in our life, including MSN, Facebook, QQ, and so on. In the contrast, what frustrates me most is that traditional conversations are dying out day by day. As a matter of fact, when coping with something urgent, it is advisable for us to take consideration into electronic communication because it is always regarded more efficient and convenient. Nevertheless, even though people have been accustomed to using electronic communication tools to deal with tasks, face to face contact still plays an indispensable role in our life. For example, if you want to keep friendship among you and your friends, it isn't whether you send a message to them every day but whether you gather

sometimes that really matters. Because only when contacting face to face can you feel there is friendship actually filled up around. On the contrary, method of electronic communication is so mechanical that it can only makes the world more and more indifferent. For instance, research reports indicate that lovers contacting each other by mobile phone all the time break up more easily than those often meet each other.

In a word, when trying best to catch up with the pace of life at present, we should also contact face to face with people when necessary.
